brock family 2

The Brock Family

Dear Friends of Kehilat Poriya:

As a congregation, we are committed to further the Gospel to the unsaved among us. We appreciate your prayers, encouragement, and support, as we together will see His Kingdom come on earth, as it is in heaven. On Thursday evening, Dec. 13, our congregation hosted our fourth outreach to the Israeli community in and surrounding Poriya Ilit. We incorporated the Feast of Dedication, Chanukah, into our celebration. The Brock Family, accomplished musicians from the USA, shared their gifts and talents with a splendid variety of tunes.

Terri Morey, co-founder and wife of founding elder Eric Morey of the Poriya congregation, shares her memories and reflections about the evening.

----

Dear Friends, For such a long time, Eric and I have had a burden to reach our people in Israel, especially the ones who live in our community….Poriya Ilit.

A few months ago the words came to me, “Love your neighbor as yourself” and I wanted to know how to reach my neighbors to find such a fulfillment in that word, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

So, we opened our home to celebrate various happenings, and last night we hosted a celebration of the Chanukah holiday….the sixth of the eight-day Festival of Lights. The Brock family, visiting from the USA, shared their musical gifts and talents. The father plays the guitar, while the mother and the four sons play the violin and other instruments.

We invited our non-believing Israeli neighbors and we had Believers in our community invite their friends and neighbors.

     Finally the night arrived.

These are my reflections of this very special evening:

The six Chanukah candles were lit with the shamash (servant candle), followed by prayer to ask the Lord’s blessings on the evening.

The Brock family is so wonderful, so poised and professional with the ways in which they play their violins and the guitar. The songs they shared so passionately and professionally in the first part of the evening were mostly from the classics. This part of the music was not familiar to all of us but the way in which each was presented was so enjoyable.

What I especially loved was the sons - each of them had a solo. The mother had one as well. For the opening of the second part of their concert, they began the segment with “Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel.” It was incredible.

They then moved into, “Orange Blossom Special,” and “Come to The Mountain.” A medley of Israeli songs brought delight to everyone, especially the guests. Then some worship songs, without words, but the believers in the audience sang along. With each song the participation of the nearly 50 people became more obvious….the mood changed and people just wanted to get up and dance. One of our ladies did just that, at the tune of something that sounded very Irish.

Also during the evening, we were inspired by a Chanukah message, about 20 minutes in length, given by one of our sabra Believers. He focused the message on the scripture, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet a light upon my path.” Psalm 119:105. He beautifully drew each of us into the message of the light. He shared other Scriptures including, “I am the light of the world and he who walks with me does not walk in darkness.” Even though we know “Who” the speaker was quoting, the fact that it was Yeshua was not spoken but implied. To share something about Yeshua as Messiah with our unbelieving friends and neighbors in such a way was a first for us. In all of the other gatherings, we simply had music and food. This time we had all the elements of a service.

The friends and neighbors we invited were thrilled with the evening.

This morning, as I was reflecting on how our people interacted and how they watched to see who was alone or who was not participating, they jumped in to change that situation. I realized, we have come into a new place and we will be able to reach our people. This is the way God has shown us. Of all things we are in this community, we are loving. People who attend our services see that love. It is refreshing. Often times I hear the words, “This is like it was in the Book of Acts.”

Yes, Lord, we want to share in it all with each other. We want to be involved with our sisters and brothers and we want to see men find You. \

Everyone had a place to be last night - some served, some greeted, and some interacted with the attendees. Because of those who fulfilled their calling so unselfishly, the evening was highly successful.

This morning, I had phone calls. One in particular was from one of the non-believing couples who attended. She said, “This was marvelous. The whole setting was good and what we heard was wonderful. Thank you for inviting us.” This same person asked when we could get together and talk.

This is what we want! This is how we will share our faith!

There are so many stories to tell but we pray you will get the whole picture what we are attempting to accomplish for the Kingdom through these outreaches and in other ways to show the Lord’s love.

We challenge you, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Do you know your neighbors? This is a good time of year to get to know them.

By TERRI MOREY

(On Shabbat, Oct. 27, 2012, an estimated 1,500 Messianic Jews, Arab Christians, and Gentile Believers gathered in Lavi Forest in the Western Galilee. We cried out to God for nearly five hours! The focuses of our prayers were mainly Iran’s nuclear capabilities, the continuing rocket bombardment of Israel’s southern cities, and the upcoming elections in Israel and the United States of America. The event was organized by pastors in the Galilee. Below, I share my thoughts and observations about this meeting. I believe you will find many prayer points in this article. I have compiled a list at the end of the message.)

Of the pastors who presented their thoughts on this meeting, the first one to give a message was from a local congregation. I felt his was the most passionate.   He is in the Reserves in Israel and holds a position that is privy to information we would never hear about.

Pastors did come and bring their flocks from as far away as Beersheva, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.  The weather forecast called for rain, and in the forest there are only plain paths. We came with our umbrellas, and we bundled up preparing for cold.  It was a lovely, warm day.

* Summary of what the first pastor presented:

He called our present state…an emergency.

Look at Joel 2:1-2

“Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the Lord is coming, for it is at hand: a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains, a people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for many successive generations.”

People do not realize the hour in which we live.

Iran has said: we will avenge …we will have revenge on Israel.

God is looking at us to intercede….wake up….we need to wake up!

America’s President is a Muslim.

We are standing alone; we have a part to be in the end times….look at Ezekiel 20:33.

“As I live, says the Lord, surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, I will rule over you.”

We have idols of materialism; industry - we want to be like other nations, comparing ourselves to others; everything is acceptable.  In Europe…we see the first country Islam will take over is Belgium.

(Years ago I heard London will be the first Islamic city, and then France will be the first nation to completely yield to Islam.) Terri’s quote.

He mentioned the abortion rate in Germany as being extremely high.  (A DVD has been circulating called, “180.” Watch this and see how uneducated college students are about the issue of abortion.) Terri’s quote

“So rend your heart, not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm. Joel 2:13

* Notes from the second pastor who spoke:

We must repent first of our own selves then we can pray for the nations.   There was given time for this….there was a feeling of awe throughout the atmosphere when this word was given.

The fear of God must come upon us.  We have to reveal His glory to those in our lives.  The deeper our own repentance is, the more we can ask for mercy.  Our repentance is so simple.  God really wants us to repent…our prayers can influence the things in this land that we are lacking.   We must get into the Holy of Holies like Moses…like Daniel….go to God as the priests of the land and we need to hear His voice.

How are we living our lives? Live in the spirit of repentance.   Great promises from God we have yet to see.

* We then gathered into small groups to pray after each pastor had given us what topics we could pray about.

These were the topics….leaders of our government, people in our lives and their salvation, Iran and the Israeli army.

We prayed Daniel 9:3, 4, l5 “Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplication, and  with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.” “I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments.”  “And now, oh Lord, our God, who brought  Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and made Yourself a name, as it is this day-we have sinned, we have done wickedly!”

The trumpets were blown.

* My comments on the day:

Most of day was spent truly in prayer…listening and praying as the subjects were presented.   We were so glad we went. It is an awesome feeling to be surrounded by those of like mindedness and those who came specifically to pray for this nation.   It is awesome in scope.  We were given a message, we must challenge our people; time is short.   God will open doors for us to find the lost and the hungry…we must be willing.  He will make the way for us.

For me personally, the word “water” came to me by revelation and by a dream a brother in the Lord in our congregation had.   So we intend to stock ourselves with water for our congregation and for ourselves.

After living here for 29 years, I have come to a place in my life, where I realize that this country does not present warnings to us, without sufficient evidence that there is something to be concerned about.

In all of the years we have lived here, we have never attended a prayer meeting such as what we had in Lavi Forest.   When we meet there yearly, it is to fellowship with other believers in the north and mostly to mix in with Arab and Jewish believers.

May those who read this ….prayerfully seek the Lord as to how they may enter into this time of prayer for the nation of Israel.

In His love,

Terri Morey

----

MAJOR PRAYER POINTS:

* Realize the hour in which we live.
* America’s President is a Muslim.
* Iran has said she will have revenge on Israel.
* Israel has idols of materialism.
* Israel wants to be like the nations round about, where everything is acceptable.
* Islam’s plan to take over Europe is in full swing.  Abortion rate in Europe is very high.
* We need to REPENT from our sins; then the sins of the Nation of Israel.
* The fear of God must come upon us.
* We must get into the Holy of Holies and hear God’s voice in our spirit.
* Pray for the Israeli Government, for people’s salvation, for Iran, and protection of Israeli Army and her people.

The testimony of Brookie and stage  4 liver cancer

Dear Family and friends,                                             19 June, 2012

I thought I would introduce this story to you by showing you something I sent to Brookie last week, so you can see what  I think of her.

You're such a good influence on me.

You're like my coach,

my cheerleader,

my marching band

all rolled into one person.

Your confidence in me

gives me confidence in me.

I can never fail

with you in my corner.

I go for the goal

'cause you've got my back.

I give it all I've got

because you would expect nothing less.

Having you as my friend makes me a winner.

( I have met few people in my life that have allowed me to feel the way I do when I am around her…when I saw the above article called “friendship”….I knew I had to send it to her)   It seemed right to share this with you who read this….because she has influenced many people with her ability to see the good in everything.

Brookie learned she had stage 4  liver  cancer almost one year ago l6 August, 2011..  (that date is her spiritual birthday)

One of the first things she said to me when she learned what she had was that she did not

want people to say anything to her except positive words and Scripture to edify her.  “Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression but a good word makes the heart glad!” Prov. l2:25

“A merry heart does good like a medicine” Prov. 17:22

Her attitude has always been good and  since she has had this bout with stage 4 liver cancer, it has been greater.

I read just recently posted on the wall of a hotel the following: “your attitude will determine your action.”

Taking a course with John Maxwell, I read and accepted the following advice from this  leader.  “Proverbs also lists some abominations to the Lord.  Consider them  a moment, pride, coveting, lust, envy, anger, gluttony and slothfulness,  All are matters of the attitude.

“You must initiate the attitude you want in return.”

She determined right away that she would not allow the medical reports to dictate to her what she should feel.

She belongs to God and only He can determine if she will live or die.

She has a adopted this Scripture for her new card which she will present to people who want to stay in touch with her: “I will sing to the Lord as long as I live, I will praise God to my last breath.”  Psalm l04:33

It seemed only right that I would write a testimony of this woman’s life as a cancer patient, and tell you who have heard bad reports concerning yourselves or loved ones….

Only you can determine what kind of attitude you will have, it is all up to you, and often I think of this: “your attitude with determine your action”

We have been taught that every thought should be held captive the obedience of the Messiah…..how true this is, it is in our thought life that we  become who we are….

Thoughts become actions, and actions right or wrong can determine the outcome of any situation.

In the beginning of this walk with my friend Brookie, I was there when the Lord showed her:  “Do not doubt but believe”

I was there when one of the reports showed her stage 4 liver cancer had increased in points, and the doctors were shaking their heads when they gave her this report, she has decided long time ago that she would neither take chemo therapy or radiation treatment, she would rather explain to the doctors about what she believes, and Who she believes in and how much He loves them.

On one sunny day, my grandson and I were walking in downtown Tiberias, when we spotted Brookie who had just come out of the doctor’s office with another negative report, one that was rather shocking, and my grandson spoke God’s life giving word into her spirit..    Instantly she was uplifted.   We did not realize she was going for a report that morning, but God knew we needed to be on the corner we were so we could encourage her.

Many times when we are in gatherings, someone will come up to me and say:  “what is she really going through how is she really?”…..I always say the same thing:  “what you see is who she is…..she believes that this bout with cancer is to open doors for her to be a witness in the medical world she was never a part of.”

She has always lived with good health, never was a visitor to doctors or hospitals, in fact she made a remark when she first was hospitalized with another illness 2 years ago…which is called: “diverticulitis” She nor I had ever heard of, she had violent pains in her stomach….rushed to the  emergency room in Poriya hospital.   She was told this problem came from improper digestion of seeds (such as popcorn etc.)  Her attitude was show me what is right for me to eat, and I will avoid those foods which could cause this to happen to me again.

Your attitude will determine your action.

She is a bright and cheerful person anyhow, but since this disease has come upon her body, she has become more direct with people, is more cheerful and seems to say exactly what is on her mind, instantly, always in love, but nothing lingers in her spirit that should not be there…

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”  Hebrews 4:12

When one has an illness in one’s body, I am sure this Scripture becomes more …..and more important in how we allow thoughts to become actions.

At the end of this week she will make a trip to England meeting up with another friend of ours, and she will be speaking to many people ….and there is no doubt in my mind that she will use the condition of her body  to speak to many.

Summing up what I  feel is taking place in the life of my friend, Brookie is the following.

She is a witness for the Lord where ever she goes and what ever she does, that is her greatest joy to be able to share the wonderful life that she has belonging to the Lord of Lords and living to advance the kingdom of God.

Because she has a disorder in her body, that most people shutter when they hear what has been diagnosed to Brookie, she has a peace in her heart, that God will use her where ever He places her, and she delights in the Lord, and is at peace either here in the land of her inheritance or in the home that has been made for her in heaven.

What gives me joy to watch is the way she handles each blow …concerning her medical diagnosis….each time the reports show no progress the last one showed a jump in points to 700….

What is considered normal for a person with her cell count is 05.…hers is l,753.77…

She is vivacious, she is happy, she is overflowing with joy, and she looks very healthy.

May those who suffer from maladies in their bodies take a close look at this testimony  and consider what your attitude is towards your condition.  No matter what your report is…remember He is your shield, your glory and  the lifter of your head.  Psalm 3:3

God holds His word above His name Psalm l38:2.  This is why we need His word hidden in our hearts.

With love,

Terri

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I have a burning desire to speak about pride and humility, having been impacted by Derek Prince years ago. His teaching on the subjects of pride and humility are repeated here as  I was able to glean many things he observed concerning this subject and I am sharing much of what he taught.   May God impress on us the  need to face the challenge and change.  The following statements were made by Derek Prince unless other wise stated.

" I believe the number one reason why revival tarries is because  of the sin of pride"

I think, pride is the greatest single problem, and the most common problem, and the most destructive problem.

“All deception has one lever to get in and that is pride.” Therefore, if we aren’t proud, we’ll never be deceived. To Derek, the “pride of life” is a desire to be independent of God. That’s why the enemy tempted Jesus in this area when He was in the wilderness. Jesus refused to show His power independent of God, the Father.

If My people will humble themselves and pray”..

For at least 30 years I have been teaching on this Scripture, but recently I was confronted by a shocking realization! God’s people in our day have never fulfilled the first condition. We have never truly humbled ourselves. Our pride – both religious and racial – remains as a barrier that holds back the answer to our prayers for ourselves and for our nation.

Through the severe dealings of God in my own life, I have learned the most effective way for us to humble ourselves.
Very simply, it is by confessing our sins. If we regularly and specifically confess our personal sins to God, it is impossible to approach Him with an attitude of pride.

Furthermore, I have seen that God has only committed Himself to forgive us of the sins we confess. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Unconfessed sins are unforgiven sins. Thus the barrier of pride builds up a second barrier of unforgiven sin.

The Bible exhorts us to confess our sins not merely to God, but also to one another. “Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16). Confessing our sins to God deals with vertical pride; confessing to one another deals with horizontal pride. We can hardly maintain an attitude of pride towards someone to whom we have just confessed our personal sins.

This applies especially to the relationship between husbands and wives. Those who regularly confess their sins to one another are not kept apart by a barrier of pride. Furthermore, confession of sin is an essential prerequisite to effective intercession.

Derek Prince concludes that pride, which fueled rebellion, is the root of all sin.

The love of money is closely associated with the desire for popularity and for power. All these evil lusts grow out of the selfsame soil: pride.

All of the above statements were gleaned from the writings of Derek Prince.
The next few paragraphs are also from Derek Prince’s tapes.
"We all need to bear mind continually that PRIDE was the cause of Lucifer's downfall. It is also the main motive that Satan uses in tempting human beings to sin. Pride has caused the downfall of more men and women than all the other sins put together."
We need to recognize the kind of soil that produces bad trees: it is pride. It was pride that caused Satan's downfall from heaven, and pride is the primary weapon that he uses to bring about the downfall of humanity. Therefore the only sure safeguard against deception and error is to cultivate humility.

As I said , I think, pride is the greatest single problem, and the most common problem, and the most destructive problem.. If we do not turn back from the way of pride, our end will be destruction.

It is pride that is at the root of all other sins, envy, contention, discontent, and all hindrances that would prevent renewal.  R. Baxter

Ah man, hate pride, flee from it, abhor it, do not let it dwell with you. C.H. Spurgeon

Pride is the roadblock to revival.  The essential vice, the utmost evil is pride. C.S. Lewis

In my personal journal of quotes that the Holy Spirit quickened to me…I will quote a few but do not recall who said them, all glory to God is how I see it anyhow.

The great barrier between us and God is pride.

If we do not deal with pride, pride will keep us from dealing with other sins.

God can never entrust His kingdom to anyone who has not been broken of pride.

Pride is the armour of darkness itself.

                                                HUMILITY

Further quotes from Derek Prince on Humility

Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
The humble He guides in justice,
And the humble He teaches His way.

It’s the grace of the Lord that He’s willing to teach us sinners at all. But God enrolls His students, not by their intellectual qualifications, but by their character. A lot of people can go to a Bible school or a seminary or whatever else, but never be enrolled in God’s school, because God only enrolls the humble.

“The humble He guides in justice, the humble He teaches His way.”

“Humility is not an emotion, humility is a decision.”

Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Matthew 18:3-4
And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “

Isaiah 66:2
Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word."

Psa 51:17

“ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise. “

Mark 9:35
Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."

.
Romans 12:16
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.”

1 Corinthians 1:28
He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are.”

1 Corinthians 3:18
Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise. “

1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”

2 Corinthians 10:17-18
Let him who boasts boast in the Lord. For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. “

1st Peter 5:5-7
“You younger men, likewise, be subject to  your elders;and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to  the humble.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you  at the proper time.”

James 4:6&10
“But He gives a greater grace.  Therefore it says, God is opposed to the proud, but gives  grace to the humble.”

“Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.”

My thoughts about pride.

Because my deep desire to see our people find Him who gave His life as a ransom for many.   It behooves me to understand that the number one reason why revival tarries is because of pride.

Facts-pride is mentioned 53 times in the Bible

Humility, humble, meek and weakness combined  92 times.

In the Bible there’s no place where it says that God will make us humble. Always, God puts the responsibility upon us. We have to humble ourselves. It’s a decision. We have to make it. No one can make it for us. People can pray for us, and preach to us, but we have to make the decision to
;” humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt us in due time.”

:  “Pride will be with us till the day we die, it is what we do with it!  It is a decision we make.” Quoted by one of our regular attendees in our congregation.

“You determine how high you will go up by how low you will go.”

As I conclude this message, it is with hopes that when you read this or hear this you will make the decision to allow the Holy Spirit to show you when pride is taking place.

Repent and accept the Lord’s forgiveness and continue to serve and love Him in all you do.   Your life will produce a harvest of righteousness and the grace of God will lead you to the greatest peace you have ever known.

Love,
Terri

Side note- As I looked around the room, while another prayed for this message I saw the many eyes that were closed.   My heart rejoiced, I believe there were many commitments that day to give the God the opportunity to tell us when pride arises in our hearts.

Since this is being placed on our webb site, I pray that the word here will have the impact I am praying for.   Lives changed.  Pride identified and not allowed to operate in our lives.

STRESS, ANXIETY AND HOPE IN THE

LAST DAYS

By Terri Morey, Kehilat Poriya, Poriya Illit, Israel

July, 2010

I want to share with you today about the times that are coming upon us--the end of days--and about anxiety, stress and hope.

During a time of worship on the l2th of June, 20l0 I saw an angel flying all around the world proclaiming the Good News. I looked up the Scripture which is Revelation 14:6-7. “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting Gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.’"

Then I sensed God saying: “Do a study on this.”

Matthew 24:l4 tells us: “And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. “

Revelation 13:7-8 tells us: “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. “

The more I studied these Scriptures the more I became convinced that before final judgment begins on earth, God will release the angel in Revelation l4:6--to give men an opportunity to repent and to seek Him. We all know people who have resisted the call of God but who we believe will yield when the time comes.

Whether or not you believe in a “pre-tribulation” rapture determines much, but I am suggesting you think about what I am about to present and make up your minds now what you will do.

The use of drugs to help people who have trouble with stress and anxiety is staggering. In America 25,000,000 people seek help for depression. 90% of these people are given prescriptions for anti-depressant drugs. Proverbs 12:25 says: “Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.”

I have a book called “Be in Health”, written by Henry Wright, and in reading the book for two consecutive days, I noticed that most of the spiritual roots of disease are caused by stress, anxiety and fear.

In his book When Jesus Returns, David Pawson states: “One reason that there is so much terror and fear among so many Christians concerning the end times, the Antichrist and the Tribulation period that they just want to escape, is clearly because we have lost our hope! People neither know what God is doing, nor where they are going. How can they have any hope?”

How urgently true Biblical hope must be restored among God’s people today! We must heed the prophetic word in the Scriptures. We will not make it in the days ahead without it.

Suppose you are living on earth when you are required to take a mark in order to buy or sell? You are battling with anxiety and have been taking drugs to keep the problem in balance but now you cannot buy the drug…because you have not taken the mark.

Recently I have I had a severe case of panic attacks. This was something new to me; in my life this had never been a problem before….and of late it had become so bad, that my husband really noticed. To him it was reality and very disturbing. I had not gone to my doctor for help; I knew this could not be the answer. I can compare what was happening to me as a frog being put into water, and slowly he was being boiled alive, but it was happening so gradually he never felt it.

When I became overcome by panic in pressure situations I could not even think straight, my emotions ran me; at times I could not speak without stuttering. My voice became very loud and I flew into a rage. I just wanted to hurl something or I just felt inside and often said: “Take my life, Lord; take me home. I cannot cope here any more.”

Even as I uttered those words I deeply hurt inside at the terrible things I was saying. I had no control over my speech. I looked at my beloved husband with absolute hatred.

It still did not dawn on me that I was going to my husband before going to God. I cried out to God after the explosion, not before.

The woman of God that I was held no meaning to me when a panic attack took over.

Reason and prayer were out of the picture for too long.

This last May, as we were getting ready to leave for a vacation, to go to England and Ireland, I was in one of those places. We had just finished a very big Shabbat service with a Bar Mitzva, our 5 year anniversary celebration and a “Pot blessing” communal meal for about 50 people! Then Eric, my husband, called an emergency Elder’s meeting in our last hour before leaving. The car we were driving had had overheating problems. The mechanic said it was “fixed” but I had reservations. It was possible we might have to stop along the way to refill the water and maybe be late for our plane. I was in major stress.

I left Israel consumed with stress and anger and could not speak to my husband until we arrived in England many hours later. It was a very quiet trip!

Once in Ireland, I had a dream. In this dream I saw the passage from Psalms 55:22: “Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you...” I understood in the dream, that it was MY DECISION to allow the Lord to take the burden. He has already provided the grace to see me through anything I came to Him about, but it is my decision. I have to cast my burdens on Him.

As I realized this, I began to weep and repent for not allowing the Lord that place in my life where He would be Lord, instead I went to my husband first, and placed my hopes in him not God. Instantly I was healed of my disorder and instantly I was at peace and I believe I will remain in this state when troubles come.

I knew I would be tested again, I knew that of course, the word tells me: “I have come to give you life; the enemy has come to steal, kill and destroy.” John l0:l0

I am proclaiming these Scriptures.

“For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.” ( 2 Timothy 1:12)

Joseph told his brothers after revealing himself to them in Egypt: “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones..." (Genesis 50:20-21a)

Today, I look at our situation in Israel and I hear reports that rockets are targeted for every major city in the land.

In the Lebanese war, hundreds of Katyusha rockets landed in our city of Tiberias. One actually hit right next door to a factory many of our friends work in. Many times we were confined to our bomb shelters while rockets were raining down on us almost daily.

Iran is threatening to wipe us off of the map, and most of our neighbors are in agreement.

Oil is spilling causing havoc on the East coast of America and that is just one of the many crises we read about.

Time magazine in July, 20l0 states that l5,000,000 people worldwide are seeking refuge--unsafe at home and not wanted any where else. The situation in the world is gloomy.

During the holocaust Jews had found ways to get on a ship to carry them to freedom from what awaited them in the death camps and no one opened their doors to let them come into their countries. Canada and America were amongst those who refused them entry and sent them back to die.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 says: “That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.” Another way to say that is: “History repeats itself.”

We read in Revelation 13:16-17: “He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. “

If we take that mark, we will not enter heaven when we die (Revelation 14:9-11). We will be cut off eternally.

If, as many believe, we are conveniently raptured out of here before the 7 year Tribulation period (also known as Jacob’s Trouble, Jeremiah 30:7), we will be in heaven rejoicing. But what if we are here during that time? There are many different positions related to this: “Pre-tribulation,” “Mid-tribulation” or “Post-tribulation.” One thing for sure--there WILL be a tribulation. I and my husband and many others believe we will be going through some or all of it. We have always believed we would be used greatly at the time of the end.

There are some who believe that the purpose of the Tribulation is to prepare the nation of Israel for her Messiah. I believe this is part of the truth.

I also believe Israel is the safest place in all the world for a Jew to live. I believe anti-Semitism will drive Jews back to the land of Israel. God has told us in His word (Ezekiel 36:24): “For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”

In Jeremiah 16:16 God says: "’Behold, I will send for many fishermen,’ says the LORD, ‘and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.’” He will use even anti-Semitism to accomplish His purposes for His people.

This is the stand we are taking concerning the coming of Jeremiah 30:7…”the time of Jacob’s trouble.”

With Jacob’s Trouble coming upon the Jewish people there is also a promise at the end of the Scripture. “Alas! For that day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob's trouble, But he shall be saved out of it.“ (Jeremiah 30:7)

It seems to us that the time of Jacob’s trouble is really a time of salvation for Israel and not of judgment.

In seeking others opinions on Jacob’s Trouble and gathering information from people I know who I consider to be scholars…I see that many hold different views on this passage of Scripture.

Some believe it has happened before, but will happen again, and I suggest the following as the position I am taking: Jacob is saved out of his trouble because it is the day when God brings salvation to His people, the “day when Jacob will serve their Lord and David their king whom I will raise up for them.” (Jer 30:9). This is the time that Zechariah spoke about in Zech l2:l0-l3:6. This is followed up by the judgment of the nations and the establishment of the Kingdom of God upon the earth, Zechariah l4.

"At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book.” This passage from Daniel 12:1 is almost identical to the description of the end time from Matthew 24:21-22 and other similar passages, and also echoes Jeremiah 30:7.

Also we are told in Romans ll:26: And so all Israel will be saved”, as it is written: ‘THE DELIVERER WILL COME OUT OF ZION, AND HE WILL TURN AWAY UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB…’

Look what happens when we are back in the Land!!, “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:25-26)

Presently we have more Jews living in Israel than any other place on earth, more than one third of all the Jews in the world! This has come about in the last few years.

As it says in Romans 10:2 the Jewish people have a zeal for God without knowledge, and when they finally see the truth, they will be the witnesses God has intended them to be.

"’You are My witnesses,’ says the LORD, ‘And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me…’” (Isaiah 43:10). We will be the ones who will tell the world there is only One God.

I did a study on Believing God with Beth Moore and she says the Lord told her: “My bride is paralyzed by unbelief.” She also states in this book: “Do you take God at his word, believing what He has told us, or do you just believe in His existence and the salvation He offers?” The Lord told her: “I didn’t ask you to believe IN Me, I asked you to believe ME.”

What will happen to mankind? Supposing you shared your faith with many who did not accept salvation when you presented it to them, but during this time of duress they will accept and become believers. They are then faced with a reality…if they do not take this mark, how will they live?

The comforting words of Scripture tell me: “In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.” (Psalms 94:19)

I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears…This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.” (Psalms 44:4, 6-7)

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! …Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:4, 6-7)

On checking the words. “Hope,” “Trust,” “Faith” and “Fear not”….I found that these words are mentioned in the Bible l,081 times!

Many years ago, I changed my name to Faith. The word “Faith” occurs in Scripture 402 times. I cling to His words: “Without faith it is impossible to please Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

A wise woman spoke these words which have become a life motto for me: “I cannot change the world; but I can change the world I am in.”

In his book,The Power of One Christ-like life, by Francis Fangepane made the following statement: “Many people try to predict either the day of Christ’s return or the time when judgment will begin in the world. However, we behold another reason why Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour of His return (Mathew 24:36). Prayer changes the mind of God. In fact, Jesus told us regarding tribulation to “Pray that your flight may not be in the winter”(v.20). WE minimize its impact, but prayer actually can influence the season when the Great Tribulation will begin.

I once heard a wise man say: “Prayer changes things, and God is still on His throne.”

Either we believe God or we do not. We need to believe God when he says in Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

We do not know the day or the hour, but we must be ready, like the virgins in Matthew 25.

Years ago, I was so influenced by a book which predicting the end that I received the Lord. How incredible, I became a believer and as far as I know many more came to believe because of this book. Yet most of what the writer predicted did not happen in the way or the timing he said. It turned me away from reading prophetic books. Yet, in His word He told me: “Do not despise prophecies.” (1 Thessalonians 5:20)

Our witness is to be different, we are the Bible men read. How can we show them a new path when what they see in us is not what the Messiah came to bring?

Because I was set free so dramatically and because I believe many of my brothers and sisters are going through similar things such as I just walked out of I want to pray for each and every one of you who hears or reads this message.

If you are hearing my voice, come forward I want to pray for you to be set free. For me, it happened in an instant, when I realized THE DECISION IS MINE. God was merciful and showed it to me in a dream, and with the dream came the awareness….it is my decision.

In summary of this letter, is the fact that I was marvelously healed of my panic disorders, and I was shown in a dream that it is my decision, God has provided all for me. I need to only believe it and accept it and live the life He has planned for me.

I was deeply affected by the Scriptures found in the book of Revelation, and although I have never considered myself a scholar, I can say with all sincerity that my first priority has been to love the Lord and serve Him. In the days ahead, because of His deliverance, what ever comes I can stand on the Word, and be a comfort to the more fearful amongst us. Prayer changes things. If you can be in touch with me I will pray for you.

The last days, the end times are coming upon us. We can’t afford to be controlled by anxiety and stress. We MUST learn to rest in God’s hope.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7

“Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” (Psalms 55:22)

In the love of Messiah,
